Do you have an emergency kit equipped for short-term survival? Have you created an emergency plan with your roommates? Are you familiar with fundamental first aid procedures and fire extinguishing techniques?
Learn how to prepare yourself for unforeseen emergencies at the Campus Safety Preparedness in the Pit event on Monday, Oct. 23 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. UNC Police, EHS Fire Safety, Emergency Management and Planning, and Campus EMS will be in the Pit to provide information and resources related to emergency preparedness for the Carolina community.
Participants will have an opportunity to engage in hands-on demonstrations, including the proper use of a fire extinguisher, CPR techniques and learning the basics of bleeding control through the Stop the Bleed program.
Free t-shirts and popcorn will be provided while supplies last!
