Welcome to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill!

Protection of Minors on Campus strives to create a welcoming and safe environment for all minors visiting University property or participating in University camps, programs or events. This unit reinforces this expectation by establishing standards, requirements and procedures that specifically focus on protecting the safety of individuals less than 18 years of age from injury, harm, maltreatment and exploitation.

The following was implemented to promote that mission:

  • Parents/Guardians and Participants must comply with University community standards. This includes but is not limited to:
    • Remaining behind barriers and not entering any of the playing fields.
    • Not photographing minors without parental consent.
  • Maintaining supervision of accompanied minors not participating in the camp, program or event.
  • Following instructions of University staff during an emergency.
  • Parking in designated areas only.
  • Ensuring their child adheres to the Participant Code of Conduct.

Please have all parents sign the Liability, Photo, and Video Release form. It can be downloaded or completed online.

All head coaches or a designee to act on behalf of must compete an online attestation.
