Are you ‘zombie ready’? Surviving a zombie attack, or any other kind of emergency or disaster, is all about being prepared. If zombies were to descend upon Chapel Hill, would you be ready? Do you have an emergency kit ready with food, water, medications and other supplies? Have you made an emergency plan with your family and friends, so you know who to contact or where to gather? Do you know how to assist someone who is bleeding or how to extinguish a fire?

On Sept. 22, keep an eye out for zombies roaming campus and join us in the Pit at the Zombie Preparedness Festival to learn more about how to prepare for a zombie attack and emergencies of all kinds. Campus departments, student groups and local partners will provide hands-on demonstrations and share information on safety and emergency preparedness.

All attendees will receive a festival passport. Get your passport stamped at various tables, turn it in for a free t-shirt (while supplies last), and be entered to win additional prizes!

In the event of inclement weather, the festival will be held in the Great Hall in the Frank Porter Graham Student Union.
