The week of Dec. 3 – 9, 2023 is Winter Weather Preparedness Week.
In North Carolina, weather conditions can be unpredictable and dangerous, particularly in the winter. With the season quickly approaching, Emergency Management and Planning wants to ensure the Carolina community is ready for risks associated with cold weather, including severe storms, freezing temperatures and icy conditions.
Throughout the week, daily topics from the National Weather Service on winter weather preparedness will be shared on the Emergency Management and Planning website.
